Welcome

With over 25 years experience as a Clinical Social Worker, and as a graduate of the University of Michigan with a BA in Psychology and Master of Social Work, I am currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among my areas of interest and experience are the relationship between psychology and health, specifically managing the impact of acute and chronic illness upon a person, marriage and family. I have worked in academic health care organizations with specific experience in Oncology, Neurosciences, and Women's Health and have designed programs, facilitated support groups, and provided educational presentations to hospitals and community groups.

My belief is that health and well-being is a balance of physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual factors. In a safe and supportive environment, I offer non-judgmental and objective feedback, with a focus upon education and the development of practical strategies to effectively address challenges of mood, behavior and relationships. I believe in the importance of a highly personalized approach to addressing issues in order to promote success and avoid frustration, with focus upon identifying and building upon one's strengths.

I attempt to create my own work-life balance by spending time with family, being outdoors and traveling. I believe in the positive impact of humor both in life and my practice!
